Worth selling can look like a lot of things.
These are common examples—not a complete list. Value depends on brand, age, condition, demand, completeness and the likely work required to sell the item.
Home and property
- Power tools
- Lawn and garden equipment
- Small appliances
- Quality furniture
- Seasonal equipment
Technology and entertainment
- Electronics and monitors
- Video games and consoles
- Office equipment
- Musical equipment
Special-interest items
- Collectibles
- Sporting goods
- Automotive tools and accessories
- Watches and jewellery requiring appropriate verification
- Factory-sealed products
This is a starting point, not a complete list. Send photos of anything you believe may have resale value.
A project is usually a strong fit when…
Several worthwhile items
A group of saleable belongings that can be managed efficiently as one project.
A smaller number of stronger-value items
Individual items with enough likely demand and value to justify their own listing.
Honest, saleable condition
Items are safe, authentic, reasonably complete and accurately represented.
Some items may need another path
Low-value, unsafe, recalled, counterfeit, heavily damaged, contaminated or ownership-uncertain items may be declined. In some cases, we may recommend bundling, donation, recycling or removal rather than individual resale.
Every project is reviewed individually. The examples above are guidelines, not automatic acceptance rules.

A real local person managing your sale.
Hi, I’m Joshua, the founder of Deklutr.
I’ve been buying and selling items online since I was young, across local marketplaces and broader selling platforms. Over the years, I learned that getting an item sold takes much more than posting a quick advertisement. Good photography, realistic pricing, clear descriptions, patient buyer management and consistent follow-through all matter.
I created Deklutr for people who have worthwhile belongings but do not have the time, experience or patience to manage the entire selling process themselves.
I’ll be straightforward about what appears worth selling, what may not justify the work and what the likely next step should be.

Common questions
Deklutr primarily manages the sale on your behalf. We assess accepted items, prepare the listings, manage buyers and receive an agreed portion of completed sale proceeds.
No. We focus on items whose expected resale value reasonably supports the time required to prepare and sell them. Some belongings may be better bundled, donated or removed.
Send a few clear photos, your city and an approximate item count through the free review form. We will respond with the likely next step.
Depending on the item, we may use Facebook Marketplace, Kijiji, eBay or another suitable resale channel. The marketplace is selected based on the item, buyer audience and transaction type.
No. Deklutr cannot guarantee a sale, a specific price or an exact timeline. Pricing recommendations are based on available market information, item condition and buyer demand.
Recommended pricing and minimum acceptable amounts are discussed before listing. Deklutr will not knowingly sell an item below the agreed minimum.
Storage and pickup arrangements depend on the project. The details are agreed before items are accepted.
Client payouts occur after the transaction is completed and applicable expenses are accounted for. Shipped transactions may require additional time for delivery, platform processing or potential return issues. Exact timing is confirmed in your written agreement.
No. Light item preparation may be included for accepted items, but Deklutr is primarily a personal resale management service.
Deklutr serves the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding communities. Other locations may be considered depending on project size, travel time and availability.
If an item does not sell within the period agreed for your project, we will discuss practical next steps—which may include a price adjustment, a different listing approach, returning the item, or another path such as donation or removal. Specific options are confirmed in writing for each project.
Listing duration depends on the item, market demand and the plan we agree before work begins. There is no single fixed timeline that applies to every project.
You can discuss pausing or ending a project. Any fees already earned for completed work, expenses incurred, or notice requirements will follow the written client agreement for your project.
Items may remain with you or be held under an arrangement we agree in advance. Custody, access for showings or shipping, and return of unsold items are confirmed before acceptance.
Responsibility for damage or loss depends on where the item is stored, who has custody, and what is written in the client agreement. We discuss practical care expectations before accepting items; final allocation of risk is confirmed in writing.
Offer handling is agreed before listing—typically using a recommended asking price and a minimum acceptable amount. Deklutr will not knowingly accept an offer below the agreed minimum without your approval.
Applicable marketplace fees, payment-processing costs and other agreed transaction expenses are accounted for when calculating net proceeds, as described in your written quote and agreement.
Returns, disputes and chargebacks are handled according to the marketplace rules and the terms in your client agreement. Shipped sales can involve additional risk and timing compared with local pickup.
Payout method and timing are confirmed in writing for each project after a sale completes and applicable expenses are accounted for. Details can vary for local versus shipped transactions.
Immediate removal is not automatic. Pickup or transport, if offered for a project, depends on item type, volume, location and scheduling—and is agreed in advance.
No. Market demand, condition and timing affect outcomes. We work from researched recommendations and agreed minimums, not guaranteed sale prices.
Unsold items are handled according to the plan in your written agreement—often returned to you, or otherwise directed with your consent (for example donation or removal). Deklutr does not assume ownership of your belongings unless a separate purchase arrangement is expressly agreed.
Yes. An initial photo review is not final acceptance. Items may be declined or re-scoped after an in-person assessment if condition, authenticity, completeness, safety or expected value differs from what the photos suggested.
